UKSPRU has a long history of experience in projects concerning this area, for the EU and for other governmental and NGO clients. The subject of Markets, Governance and Society constitutes one of SPRU’s three research domains according to its recent reorganization. The emergence and development of complex technological systems; Managing technological and product complexity; Technology and competitiveness of European industries; International technology transfer; Long-run evolution of technologies; Evolutionary approaches to governance; Innovation indicators in the CEECs conducted under the Macrotec (Integration of Macroeconomic and S&T Policies for Growth, Employment and Technology (MACROTEC), and integration of CEECs into wider European production and technology networks).
