Event: Local Stakeholders meeting taking place at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca/ RO January 13-14, 2006
The planned event aims to foster the exchange of local professional expertise providing constructive feedback regarding the projects progress, including food legislation and QMS (Quality Management Systems) implementation, accreditation and validation in CEECs, analyses concerning the quality and safety of products and processes.
Who should attend and invited experts: Food industry employees, trainers, teachers, undergraduate and graduate students, designers and quality managers of SMEs and LEs, auditors and evaluators related to EU bodies, market traders, universities and research and development institutes, governmental agencies, and consumer protection organisations.
The project will provide a basis for governmental agencies to develop an infrastructure at national and regional level. With their assistance, there will be developed VETCs on the Food Quality and Safety issue in several geographical regions that will have a monitor and audit organization represented by the "Leonardo da Vinci" National's Agencies from the CEECs project partners, with the aim of assuring the relationships between Network and European Commission and its standards of QMS, consisting of the infrastructure developed in the process of integration and enlargement. Also the Network will offer consultancy and partnerships for SMEs and LEs in the food industry from the EU and the region as a base for CRAFT projects, PHARE, Leonardo da Vinci, and FP6 programmes.
